Self-powered loudspeaker systems
Meyer Sound self-powered boxes simplify system design because amplification is built in, but that also means amplifier condition is the whole ball game on the used market. Used UPJ and UPA series cabinets from rehearsal studios tend to be gentler-used than touring stock. Ask for amplifier test notes, not just photos of the front.
Amplifier modules are the main failure point; insist on a power-up and level-hold test.
